Edge Locations

nLighten Germany

With over 84 million inhabitants, Germany is the most populated country in the EU. Although a large part of the inhabitants live in the four metropolitan areas of Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg and their catchment areas, there are many other important economic and industrial centers. This is one of the reasons why edge data centers play an important role in Germany.

Very good telecommunications networks are available in cities and metropolitan areas. The expansion of 5G mobile communications in particular is making good progress. IT and telecommunications companies are optimistic about the future.

Germany is also a leading international industrial location. Industry 4.0 therefore offers great opportunities. In order to maintain and expand this competitive strength, great efforts are being made to tap the enormous potential of Industry 4.0 and to actively shape the digital structural transformation of industry.
